P.M. Rangel Family Endowed Scholarship

This endowed scholarship was established in honor of Irma Lerma Rangel, the founder of the College and is available to P3 and P4 PharmD students enrolled at the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy for the 2026-2027 academic year.
 

Number of Awards and Award Amount


Two (2) $1,500 scholarships


Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a lifetime resident of Nueces County or any county south of it in the state of Texas.
(Nueces, Jim Wells, Duval, Kleberg, Webb, Kennedy, Brooks, Jim Hogg, Zapata, Starr, Hidalgo, Willacy or Cameron)
• Be enrolled as a P3 or P4 PharmD student at the Texas A&M Rangel College of Pharmacy as a full-time student for the AY 26-27.
• Have a minimum GPA of 2.75.

Submission Requirements

1. A typed one-page, single-spaced essay describing how you meet the eligibility requirements, the reason(s) pharmacy was chosen as a profession, your future plans for practice and financial need.
2. Three letter of recommendation forms (non-relatives) to be completed by professors, mentors, or employers.
3. AY 2026-2027 COP Scholarship Application

The required supporting documents for each scholarship must be uploaded at the time the completed application is submitted in order to be considered. 

***The Letter of Recommendation Form is to be uploaded with the application or can be

     emailed to Ms. Monica N. Ramirez cop-scholarships@tamu.edu by the stated deadline.

***The Letter of Recommendation Form received late will not be considered.
 
Please submit your application and supporting materials by 5 PM on February 2, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be notified March 2026 and funds will be disbursed at the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.
